Refunds

Last Updated: 15th June 2026

1. Introduction

This Refund Policy outlines how refunds, cancellations, and payments are handled by Maqam Digital.

By engaging our services, you agree to the terms set out in this policy.

2. Project Deposits

To secure project scheduling and allocate resources, we typically require an upfront deposit before work begins.

All project deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced.

This is because deposits reserve development time, planning, research, and project resources specifically for your project.

3. Milestone Payments

Projects may be divided into milestones as outlined in the approved quotation or proposal.

Payments for completed milestones are non-refundable once the agreed work has been delivered or approved.

Failure to make milestone payments may result in project suspension until payment is received.

4. Project Cancellation by the Client

Clients may cancel a project at any time by providing written notice.

If a project is cancelled:

  • Any completed work remains payable.
  • Outstanding invoices become immediately due.
  • Deposits already paid remain non-refundable.
  • Ownership of unfinished work remains with Maqam Digital until all outstanding payments have been settled.

5. Project Cancellation by Maqam Digital

We reserve the right to terminate a project where:

  • Required information or access is not provided.
  • Payments remain overdue.
  • Communication has ceased for an extended period.
  • The client engages in abusive, unlawful, or inappropriate conduct.

Where applicable, any refund decision will be made at our reasonable discretion based on the work completed at the time of cancellation.

6. Monthly Services and Maintenance Plans

Monthly support, maintenance, hosting management, marketing, and ongoing service plans may be cancelled with 30 days’ written notice.

No refunds are provided for the current billing period once work has commenced or services have been delivered.

Services will continue until the end of the paid billing period unless otherwise agreed.

7. Delayed or Abandoned Projects

If a client fails to provide required content, approvals, feedback, or access credentials for more than 30 days, the project may be placed on hold.

Projects inactive for more than 90 days may be considered abandoned and closed.

Any future reactivation may require a new quotation and scheduling fee.

8. Third-Party Services

Payments made to third-party providers are subject to the policies of those providers.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Domain registrations
  • Website hosting
  • Premium plugins
  • Themes
  • Software licences
  • Email services
  • Advertising platforms
  • Payment processors

Maqam Digital cannot provide refunds for third-party fees already incurred on behalf of the client.

9. Digital Products and Deliverables

Due to the nature of digital services, custom development, website design, consulting, and digital deliverables, refunds are generally not available once work has been delivered.

Any concerns regarding deliverables should be raised promptly so that we can attempt to resolve them.

10. Exceptional Circumstances

Refund requests outside the terms of this policy may be considered on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion.

Approval of any refund request does not create an obligation to provide refunds in future cases.
